Dzhandosova Street ( Kaz. Zhandosov kөshesі ) is a cargo-passenger highway located in the Bostandyk , Auezovsky and Nauryzbaysky districts of the city of Alma-Ata; it starts from Bayzakova Street and runs southwest to Yassaui Street.

The Bolshaya Almatinka River crosses the streets of Timiryazev , Manas , Auezov , Zharokov , Gagarin , Rozybakiev , Tlendiev, Altynsarin , Sain and Yassaui. [one]
After Yassaui goes into Kunaev street (the same name with the main street ). It resumes in the southern part of the Tausamal microdistrict and goes west from Groza Street (one-sided square) to the beginning of the upper road.

History
The street has historically developed during the development of trade routes of Semirechye. It is built up with multi-storey buildings in which are located: Kazakh Institute of National Economy , Kazsantekhproekt, Kazvodokanalproekt, research institute for the enrichment of non-ferrous metals, Almaty Power Engineering College, GPTU No. 93, Almaty Fruit and Canning Plant , City Health, City Clinical Hospital No. 12. Name Origin
Kargalinskoe highway is the historical name of the street.
It was named in February 1964 in honor of the party and statesman of the Kazakh SSR Oraz Dzhandosov . [2]
Gardening and Landscaping
In the Soviet years, well-built pedestrian walkways were built on both sides of the avenue, which were shady alleys that were planted with deciduous trees such as poplar and elm. The main irrigation irrigation ditches were laid, which were full-flowing daily in the summer. [one]
Monuments
At the intersection of Dzhandosov and Gagarin Avenue in 1969, a monument was erected to Oraz Dzhandosov.

At the intersection of Abay Avenue and Dzhandosov Street, there is the metro station Auezov Theater of the first line of the Almaty Metro .
On the street Dzhandosova from the corner. st. Suleimenova to the corner. st. Since September 1, 2018, Timiryazeva is hosting the first BRT line in Kazakhstan.
