Carnoidea (lat.) - a superfamily of round-fly flies from the suborder Short-banded ( Brachycera ) Diptera . Over 2,500 species, including cereal flies , bee lice and Carnidae . Meet around the world. The 7th tergite of the male abdomen is relatively free, but strongly reduced. They have pro-episternal and pro-epimeral bristles. Two spermatheks; epiphallus is absent. The Carnoidea superfamily is divided into two evolutionary lines or subgroups: the more generalized ( Australimyzidae , Braulidae , Carnidae ) and the more specialized ( Tethinidae , Canacidae , Milichiidae , Risidae , Cryptochaetidae , Chloropidae ) [1] .
