Bender-Gez [1] ( pers. بندرگز ) is a city in the northern part of Iran , in the olestan of Golestan . The administrative center of the Bender-e-Gas shahrestan .

Content
Geography
It is located on the southern shore of Gorgan, 20 km southwest of the city of Bandar-Torkeman and 48 km west of the city of Gorgan , on the southern shore of Gorgan . The coast of the city is famous for its special natural beauty, wetlands, groves and wildlife.
Population
According to 2006 data, the city population is 17,923 people. If we talk about the whole of Shahrestan, then its population is 48,762 people according to the data for 2012, and according to the 2006 census it numbered 46,179 people [2] .
Economy
The city has lost its importance as the most important commercial port of the western Mazanderan , Seman and Khorasan after the founding of Bender-Torkeman . After that, Bender-Gez became an industrial center, including due to its convenient position on the route of a commercial highway to northwestern Iran. There is an oil industry, processing of cotton and rice.
