The youth national team of Kazakhstan in ice hockey is a team representing Kazakhstan at international youth ice hockey tournaments . Managed by the Kazakhstan Ice Hockey Federation (KFH).

Content

History

Kazakhstan first entered the elite division in 1998 . In Helsinki , Kazakhstanis beat the Slovaks with a score of 5–2, and thus reached the quarterfinal. However, in the quarter finals Kazakhstan lost to the Finns with a score of 14-1, after they beat Canadians with a score of 6-3 in the match for the 7th place.

In 1999, Kazakhstanis reached the quarterfinals for the second time. However, the Kazakhs once again lost the quarterfinal match, this time to the Canadians. In the match for the 5th place, Kazakhstan lost to the Finns.

In 2000, Kazakhstan also reached the quarterfinals, where it lost to the Czech Republic .

The four-year stay of Kazakhstan in the elite division is interrupted in 2001, where they lose all matches, including the match to save space in the elite division.

Kazakhstan spends six years in the first division and goes back to the elite division in 2007.

Kazakhstan played in the elite division of 2008, which was held in Liberec . Kazakhstanis took the 8th place, retaining a place in the elite.

In 2009, in the elite division, which was held in Ottawa, Kazakhstan ranked last in the group. In the consolation round to take off from the division, Kazakhstan had a big loss to Latvia .

In 2018, after nine years in the first division, Kazakhstan ranks first in the division and enters the elite division in 2019.
