Biography

Born April 8, 1887 . In 1907 he graduated from the Imperial College of Law [1] . He served as the head of the department of the Department of General Affairs of the Ministry of the Interior, a college adviser [1] .

As a result of the Civil War in Russia, he emigrated to France , where he was engaged in antiques .

One of the first Russian operetta composers; He wrote several popular operettas until 1917 [2] . He wrote for Maria Kuznetsova the opera-buff "Ines" and the opera "Bullfighting", staged at the Nice Opera House in 1926 [2] . Also wrote music for songs and romances. Boborykin's vocal works in the 1940s included E. Lushnikov , G. Pozemkovsky, and others in their concert programs.

He died on December 16, 1963 in Paris , was buried in the cemetery of Sainte-Genevieve-des-Bois [1] .

He was a relative of the writer P. D. Boborykin [2] .

Wife - Maria Alexandrovna Boborykina (nee Artsimovich [3] , pseudonym Maria Bary ; 1889 - 1965 ), French playwright and screenwriter.
