Baken Kydykeeva ( Kyrgyz. Baken Kydykeeva ; 1923 - 1993 ) is a Soviet Kyrgyz theater and film actress . People's Artist of the USSR (1970). Honored Artist of the Kyrgyz SSR. People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic. Laureate of the Stalin Prize.

Biography

She was born on October 20, 1923 (according to other sources - September 20, 1920 [3] ) in the village. Tekyoldesh (now within the boundaries of Bishkek , Kyrgyzstan ) (according to other sources - in the village of October [4] ) in the family of the teacher.

After graduating from the 7th grade of an incomplete secondary school, she began performing in 1936 in the Kyrgyz Youth Theater ( Frunze ) (now the State Theater of Youth and Young Spectators named after B. Kydykeeva ).

In 1941 - 1944 - actress of the Przhevalsky and Naryn regional theaters, from 1944 - actress of the Kyrgyz Academic Drama Theater (now the Kyrgyz National Academic Drama Theater named after T. Abdumomunov ).

Since 1955, she acted in films at various film studios of the USSR. Member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Kyrgyz SSR.

She died on December 30, 1993 (she was hit by a bus, after which her body lay in the morgue for 18 days, returning from the funeral of A. Dzhangorozova ). She was buried at Ala-Archinsky cemetery.

Family

She was married three times. The first husband is Abdy, the actor. They worked together at the Przhevalsky Theater, where they got married. The second husband, the director and graduate student Azhigabyl Aydarkulov, died in a car accident. With the third husband, as with the first, she parted. Baken had a daughter (she died at age 33) and two sons. One of them is a musician.

In the creative biography of B. Kydykeeva more than a hundred theatrical and film roles. She is called the “first”, since she was the first to play the main female roles in all the plays of the authors of world and Russian dramaturgy, first put on the stage of the Kyrgyz theater. She was the first actress to star in the first national feature film, Saltanat. She was the first to play the role of Seyda , in the first performance “Face to Face”, staged for the first time by Ch . Aitmatov .

About life and work

Numerous articles and two monographs have been written about the life and work of B. Kydykeeva. One of the monographs was written by Moscow journalist V. S. Ivanova and was published in Moscow . In 2004, the Kyrgyz playwright Zhanysh Kulmambetov wrote a play about Baken “Talent and Fate”.

C. Aitmatov in the introduction to V. S. Ivanova’s book “Baken Kydykeeva” writes: “... I had a lot to think about - where in this woman, the Kyrgyz, who does not have not only higher, but even secondary education, from where in her so much culture, so much taste and flair for art? Or is this what talent consists in - the ability to "reduce the experiences of a fast-moving life"? ”

Life Facts

  • The father was against the theatrical career of his daughter and the 14-year-old Baken decided to leave her favorite profession. On the day when she came to the theater to write a letter of resignation, the director of the Youth Theater A. Samarin-Volzhsky gives her the main role - the role of Laurencia in the play “Sheep Spring” by Lope de Vega . Baken did not dare to abandon the role. After the premiere of the play, the young actress becomes a celebrity throughout the republic. Fearing her father’s wrath, she does not come home for several days. When on the third day after the premiere, Baken returns, from the threshold she saw her father reading the newspaper. He comes to his daughter and point blankly asks: “Baken, they write here:“ Baken Kydykeeva played an excellent role in the play “Sheep Spring.” Is that you? ”Baken barely nods her head in fear. Then, in order to bring down her anger to a naughty daughter, her father kisses her forehead, and he becomes an ardent admirer of his daughter’s talent.
