Career
Battaliya began to play football at home. In Brazil, he played several seasons for the Corinthians . In 1960, the player arrived on the Apennine Peninsula and joined Juventus . However, Roberto soon changed his team and moved to Catania , never having played a match in the Turin club. Battalia made his debut in Serie A on December 9, 1962 in the meeting “Catania” - “ Bologna ”, which ended with the defeat of the red-blue 0: 5 [1] . In total, in the 1962/63 season, the Brazilian spent 11 games in Serie A without a single goal scored. The next season turned out to be more productive for him: in 15 matches in the Italian championship, he scored 4 goals. In 1964, Battalia moved to the Atalanta . However, he played only 6 matches for the gods , and in the last two he was removed from the field. In 1965, a Brazilian soccer player left the club and no longer played in Italy.
