Education

In 1976 he graduated from the Lviv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Semiconductor and Electronic Devices, an electronic engineer.
In 1991 - Kiev Institute of Political Science and Social Management , majoring in “Theory of Socio-Political Relations”, political scientist, teacher of socio-political disciplines in higher and secondary educational institutions.

Career

  • 1976-1977 - engineer-technologist at the Chernivtsi plant "Graviton" of the Ministry of Electronic Industry of the USSR.
  • 1977-1979 - Secretary of the Komsomol Committee of the Chernivtsi Plant Graviton.
  • 1979-1981 - First Secretary of the Pervomaisky District Committee of the Komsomol of Ukraine, Chernivtsi.
  • 1981-1985 - second secretary, first secretary of the Chernivtsi regional committee of the Komsomol of Ukraine.
  • 1985-1986 - Head of the workshop of the Chernivtsi Graviton plant.
  • 1986-1987 - Second Secretary of the May Day District Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine (Chernivtsi).
  • 1987-1994 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Pervomaisky District Council of People's Deputies (Chernivtsi).
  • 1994-1998 - Chairman of the Chernivtsi City Council.
  • 1998—2011 - Chernivtsi mayor.

Five times in the elections, the mayor of Chernivtsi won by a significant margin from his rivals. He was vice-president of the Association of Cities of Ukraine (chairman of the commission, chairman of the section of historical cities).
March 31, 2011 - 42 out of 60 deputies of the Chernivtsi City Council, Batkivshchyna and Our Ukraine ) voted for the early termination of office of Mykola Fedoruk as mayor.
Since December 12, 2012, he has been the People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the 7th convocation from the party All-Ukrainian Union "Fatherland" in the single-mandate majoritarian constituency No. 201. In the Verkhovna Rada, he became a member of the Committee on State Construction and Local Self-Government.
Non-partisan.

Since November 27, 2014 - People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the VIII convocation from the Popular Front party in the single-mandate majoritarian constituency No. 201.

December 25, 2018 is included in the sanctions list of Russia [1] .
