Biography
In childhood, he moved with his parents to the United States . He studied at the Cooper Union Institute , College of the City of New York , Pratt Institute . [1] In 1913 he graduated from the Dental College of New York University ( New York University College of Dentistry , DDS), where he later became a professor. In 1922-1923 he was president of the Kings County Dental Society, since 1936 - member of the Board of Directors of the Dental Committee of Higher Education at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem . He founded the conservative synagogue in East Midwood ( East Midwood Jewish Center , 1924). [2] [3] Throughout his professional career, he has been a practicing dentist in Brooklyn .
The author of numerous inventions in the field of dentistry and dental prosthetics, bite correction, as well as monographs and teaching aids in dentistry (all books were illustrated by himself). [4] [5] Published two memoirs (“Orchard Street” - Sadovaya Street and “On the Wings of an Eagle” - On Eagle's Wings , 1960). [6] Engaged in ivory carving. [7]
He died in May 1978 in New York.
