Yosef Breslavi (nee Iosif Breslavsky ) ( April 1, 1896 , Romny - April 14, 1972 , Israel ) is one of the first geographers and local historians of Eretz Israel .

Biography
Born in Romny in the family of David Breslasky and Sarah Neymark. In 1905 he emigrated with his family to Eretz Israel . He graduated from the gymnasium "Herzliya". During the First World War , he was sent to an officer’s school in Kushta, later a translator in the Turkish army. After the war, he was a safety instructor in Galilee, a teacher. In the period from 1922 to 1927. He studied at the universities of Vienna and Berlin . Upon his return from Europe, he taught at the Levinsky seminary in Tel Aviv .
He is the author of books and studies on geography and local lore of Eretz Israel , memoirs.
