Biography
He was born on October 21 ( November 3 ), 1914 in the village of Malyatino (now Suvorov District, Tula Region ) in a peasant family. Russian.
After graduating from the Chekalinsky secondary school [1] , he worked as chairman of the Malyatinsky village council.
In the Red Army since September 1941. At the front in World War II from the same time. He graduated from political education courses in Kaluga in 1942. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1942. He graduated from junior lieutenant courses in 1944.
The commander of the sapper platoon of the 42nd separate engineer battalion, senior lieutenant Mikhail Grishonkov, with his platoon, crossed the Oder River on April 18-19, 1945 in the area of the settlement of Scheningen (south of Szczecin , Poland ) and provided for the river to be boosted by landing. He was wounded, but remained in service.
