Zhongjie ( Chinese exercise. 中 街 , literally - middle or central street ) is the street of Shenyang city, located in the central part of the city. It is one of the centers of Shenyang trade - Zhongjie has a large number of shopping centers, including those selling premium goods. Zhongjie Street in Shenyang is the oldest pedestrian street in Northeast China . It is also the longest pedestrian shopping street in China. The length is 1.5 km [1] [2] [3] .
History
Zhongjie was part of the shopping district, known since the Ming Dynasty , its formation took place in 1625 - 1631 years . Previously called Sipintse (四平 街). To date, her story has more than 380 years. In 1997, the Shenyang government designed the second and third sections of Zhongjie, as a result, its length exceeded 1 km (the pedestrian part).
Currently, the central part of the intersection of the two streets forming the character "十" has grown and formed the character "井".
