Kurgan Machine-Building Plant of Conveyor Equipment

In 1954, a repair shop for the repair of conveyor equipment was founded in the city of Kurgan , later the workshop was called upon to manufacture tape, bucket elevators and other conveyor equipment.

According to the order of the USSR Ministry of Procurement of July 21, 1954, the name "Kurgan Plant of Elevator-Mill Equipment and Metal Structures" was assigned. Construction was conducted by the construction and installation department of Yuzhuralstroy. According to the project, it was planned to build the main two-story building, the iron foundry and the forging shop, but only a mechanical workshop and a woodworking site were built. The volume of output in 1954 amounted to 50 thousand rubles., The plant staff 24 people. The construction of the plant by the decision of the special technical commission was discontinued.

In 1961, further construction of the plant began. In 1970, the annual output amounted to 4.5 million rubles.

Since the 70s, the plant switched to manufacturing equipment for transporting and dispensing various bulk products: screw, scraper conveyors, bucket elevators; automobile unloaders like GUAR-16, GUAR-15U, U15RVS; ShSM-1 screw self-feeder; degreaser for rice and barley; feed distributor; grain thrower; peeling machine.

In 1974, by decision of the USSR Ministry of Procurement, reconstruction of the plant began. In the 1980s, about 450 people worked at the Spetselevatormelmash plant.

In the mid-90s, the plant worked with China , Bulgaria , Mongolia on the supply of belt and screw conveyors.

In 1992, the plant was transformed into KEMO joint-stock company. In the period 1992-94. 90% of marketable products manufactured for agricultural enterprises and elevators ceased to find demand. 2 subsidiaries were created: CJSC Kurgan Machine-Building Plant of Mill Equipment and CJSC Melmash .

On December 19, 2002, the Kurgan Administration was registered by the registration authority.

Since September 1, 2008, the plant changes its name from ZAO KMZMO (Kurgan Machine-Building Plant of Mill Equipment) to ZAO KMZKO (Kurgan Machine-Building Plant of Conveyor Equipment).

The authorized capital of the company as of 04/17/2013 - 1273000 rubles. The main activities of KMZ conveyor equipment CJSC: manufacture of mechanical equipment, manufacture of continuous transport equipment, manufacture of fans, manufacture of other machinery and equipment for agriculture and forestry.

In 2011, the company began expanding production capacity. New machines and equipment were purchased for almost all stages of production:

• Tool shop: CNC turning center, CNC milling center, PVP-500 chamber thermal furnace, vertical drilling machine.
• Assembly shops: Azhan gantry and oxy-fuel cutting machine with compressor, plasma cutting machines, Durma band saw, Qc-11Y hydraulic shears (guillotine), W11S-6 * 2500 three-roller universal hydraulic rollers, jib crane, inductive heater, semiautomatic welding machines, edge bending machines.
• Machine Shop: Universal Lathes.
• Stamping shop: 100 t press, filter-ventilation device.
• Metal warehouse: single girder crane, guillotine.

In addition to updating the machine park, the areas of the paint shop and metal warehouse were significantly expanded, an additional finished product warehouse was built ^[1] .

Today KMZKO JSC is a steadily developing enterprise of conveyor transport. The plant’s products operate throughout Russia , the CIS countries and other foreign countries, the geography of supplies is expanding every year.
