Biography and career
Her younger sister Ashley Judd is an actress. [2]
Winnana Judd became famous in the eighties due to performances with her mother Naomi in the duet Judd, whose records were sold in more than twenty million copies in the United States, and their singles topped the Hot Country Songs chart fourteen times. The duo have won over sixty awards, including five Grammy Awards [2] .
In 1991, after the collapse of the duo, Judd, using just the name Winona, began a solo career. Her debut solo album Wynonna was released in 1992 and was certified five times platinum in the United States, and four singles from it topped the Billboard country chart [2] . Her subsequent albums were certified platinum, but were less successful and by the middle of the two thousandth Winona Judd had practically stopped releasing new albums, but released several collections, live and Christmas albums, and also wrote memoirs about her life [2] .
Personal life
- The first husband - Arch Kelly (1996-1999, have been together since 1993). Two children - son of Elijah Kelly (born 12/23/1994) and daughter Grace Pauline Kelly (born 21/06/1996). In June 2018, their daughter, 22-year-old Grace, was sentenced to eight years in prison for violating a probationary period. She pleaded guilty to the possession, production and distribution of methamphetamine [3] .
- Second husband - D.R. Roach, her former bodyguard (2003-2007). On March 22, 2007, Roach was arrested for sexually abusing a child under the age of 13; Judd filed for divorce five days later.
- The third husband is Cactus Mowser (married since June 10, 2012). On August 18, 2012, Mouser was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in South Dakota, causing his left leg to be amputated above the knee.
