Lviv State Academic Male Choir "Dudarik" ( Ukrainian. Lviv State Power Academy Choir "Dudarik" ) was a Ukrainian musical group, founded in 1971 by the People’s Artist of Ukraine Mykola Katsalom with the assistance of the Ukrainian Musical Society in Lviv . History
The beginning of the creative path of the chapel, is the day of the first rehearsal, which took place on October 17, 1971 in the Lviv Regional Philharmonic Society . In November 1971 the first performance of the group took place. "Dudarik" took part together with the Lviv Symphony Orchestra performed by A. P. Petrov 's ballet suite "The Creation of the World ".
In 1977, Dudarik became a finalist at all-Union festivals and competitions. In 1983, the chapel was awarded a diploma of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR.
In 1989, through the efforts of Nikolai Katsal and his staff, Lyubov Katsal and Lesi Tchaikovsky, the first choral school in Ukraine was created, which became the basis for the development of the collective. Especially for her, the Lviv authorities handed over the building of a monument of architecture - the former city hospital of St. Lazarus .
Repertoire
The choir's repertoire includes concerts by D. Bortnyansky , A. Vedel , M. Berezovsky , carols and generosities in the processing of Ukrainian composers - N. Lysenko , N. Leontovich , K. Stetsenko , A. Koshitsa and others.
The Dudarik Choir also performed the Stabat Mater cantata - D. Pergolesi , Carmina Burana - C. Orff , Requiem - Mozart , Symphony No. 9 - Beethoven , Symphony No. 3 "Kaddish" - L. Bernstein , "Credo" by K. Penderetsky and many oratorio works.
The choir of boys and men from Lviv, later the folk choir "Dudarik", later the State choir, now the state academic men's choir has a long history of international concert tours .
During her annual trips she performed in Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, Russia, Georgia, Moldova, Estonia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, the USA and Canada, Switzerland, Austria, France, Belgium and Holland. Chapel recorded a number of CDs, compact tapes and records, as well as dozens of concert programs on radio and television.
