Biography

Anton Grisyuk was born on March 12, 1914 in the village of Zaborye (now the Kiev-Svyatoshinsky district of the Kiev region of Ukraine ) in a family of a forester. He graduated from seven classes of the school, worked as a forestry technician in the village of Doroginka, Fastovsky District . In 1936 - 1937 he served in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army. In 1938, he was re-drafted into the army. In 1939, Grisyuk graduated from the courses of junior lieutenants of the Kazan Infantry School. He participated in the Soviet-Finnish war, commanded a company of the 330th Infantry Regiment of the 86th Motor Rifle Division of the 7th Army of the North-Western Front [1] .

On March 9, 1940, during the battle for the Skippari settlement, Grisyuk undertook a roundabout maneuver and surrounded the enemy, and then contributed to his defeat and mastery of the settlement. In the battle for the settlement of Bilayoki (now the village of Baltiets, Vyborg district, Leningrad region ), he raised his company to attack, completing the assigned combat mission. In that battle he was injured [1] .

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 21, 1940, Lieutenant Anton Grisyuk was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal number 392 [1] .

Since June 1941 - on the fronts of World War II. In September 1941, he served as deputy. com regimental battery of the 631st Infantry Regiment of the 159th Infantry Division [2] . He was seriously wounded, was in the rear of the enemy. Having recovered, he created an underground group. He was the chief of staff, then the commander of the Vasilkovsky partisan detachment, then the commander of the partisan detachment in the formation of Alexei Fedorov . He died in battle on April 29, 1944 in the vicinity of the village of Mosyr of the Lyubomlsky district of the Volyn region of the Ukrainian SSR . He was buried in the city of Ustilug [1] .

He was also awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree and a medal [1] .

A school in the village of Doroginka, Fastovsky District, was named after Grisyuk [1] .
