It is located 3 km north of the village of Krasnyi Luch and 18 km north-east of the regional center Bezhanitsy .

Until June 3, 2010, the village was part of the now abolished Krasny Luch urban settlement; until 2005, it was also formally subordinate to the workers' settlement ( town ) Krasny Luch .
