Beckerman, Kyle

Early career

Beckerman began his career as a Maryland Youth League. He played for the U.S. Youth Team at the World Youth Championships in New Zealand . After leaving school, Kyle played for the university team and was a member of the Pro-40 project. He also studied and played for the Bradenton Academy of USA Sokker with such footballers as Bobby Convey , Oguchi Oneva , Landon Donovan and Damarkus Beasley .

Miami Fusion and Colorado Rapids

In 2000, Kyle signed a contract with the MLS club, Miami Fusion . Beckerman adapted heavily in the team and received little playing time. In his first season, he spent only 110 minutes on the field. In his last match, he broke his leg. At the end of 2001, the contract with Fusion expired and Kyle was selected as a draft by the Colorado Rapids Club. In his first season, as well as in Miami , he received little playing time, having spent 477 minutes on the field and marked his assist. Just starting from the second season, Kyle won a place at the base, taking part in 24 championship matches and giving 5 assists. Beckerman ends the 2006 season with 7 goals and 4 assists, which is one of the team’s best achievements.

Real Salt Lake

On July 16, 2007, Rapids traded at the Beckerman draft for Mehdi Ballusi at Real Salt Lake . In the new club, Kyle quickly established himself as a leader despite the fact that he came to it in the middle of the season. In the 2008 season, he was awarded the captain's armband. On April 13, 2008, in a match against DC United , the midfielder scored his first goals for the club by taking a double ^[3] . Beckerman took part in 38 matches and helped the club win the Western Conference for the first time in history. Also, at the end of the season, Kyle for the second time hit the Team of all MLS stars.

The next season, Beckerman remained the captain of the team. Within a year, he became the youngest player to play 200 matches in the MLS. In the middle of the season, Kyle and his teammate Javier Morales took part in the MLS All-Star Game . In 2009, in the MLS Cup final against Los Angeles Galaxy , Beckerman was unable to realize a penalty shootout, but his team won and won the league.

On January 20, 2007, in a friendly match against Denmark, Bekerman made his debut in the US team ^[4] . In the same year, he was included in the application of the national team for a trip to Venezuela for the America's Cup . At the tournament, Kyle spent two matches against the national teams of Argentina ^[5] and Colombia ^[6] .

In 2009, as part of the national team, he took part in the CONCACAF Gold Cup . At the tournament, Beckerman played in matches against the teams of Grenada ^[7] , Haiti ^[8] , Panama ^[9] , Mexico ^[10] and twice the national team of Honduras ^{[11] [12]} . In this tournament, in a duel against the Panamanians, Kyle scored his first goal for the national team.

In 2013, Kyle won the CONCACAF Gold Cup . At the tournament, Beckerman played in matches against the teams of Belize ^[13] , Honduras ^[14] , Panama ^[15] , Cuba ^[16] and El Salvador ^[17] .

In 2014, Kyle as part of the national team took part in the World Cup in Brazil . At the tournament, he played in matches against the teams of Ghana ^[18] , Portugal ^[19] and Germany ^[20] .

In 2015, Beckerman took part in the CONCACAF Gold Cup . In the tournament, he played in matches against the teams of Haiti ^[21] , Honduras ^[22] , Jamaica ^[23] , Cuba ^[24] and Panama ^[25] .

In the summer of 2016, Beckerman took part in the home Cup of America . In the tournament, he played in matches against the teams of Costa Rica ^[26] , Paraguay ^[27] , Ecuador ^[28] and Argentina ^[29] .
