Aran-i-Bidgol ( Persian آران و بیدگل ) is a city in central Iran , in the province of Isfahan . The administrative center of the same name shakhrestan .

Content
History
The city was formed in 1975 by the merger of the rural settlements of Aran and Bidgol [1] .
Geography
The city is located in the northwestern part of Isfahan, on the western border of the Deshte Kevir desert, northeast of the city of Kashan . The absolute height is 921 meters above sea level [2] . Aran-i-Bidgol is located approximately 147 kilometers north of Isfahan , the provincial capital, and 173 kilometers south of Tehran , the country's capital.
Population
According to the census, in 2006 the population was 55,651 people [3] ; Persians (carriers of Central Iranian dialects of arani and bidgoli ) prevail in the national composition [4] .
Economics and Transport
The leading branch of the city’s economy is carpet weaving. Carpets made in Aran-i-Bidgol are exported to Pakistan , Afghanistan and Iraq .
The nearest airport is Kashan [2] .
