Content
Story
After the death of the pope, a conclave gathers in Rome to elect a new pontiff. After several days of the meeting, the voting of the cardinals gives the name of the winner: they become the aged Cardinal Melville. However, at the last moment before entering the balcony of the Apostolic Palace, the new pope refuses to appear before the faithful and hides in his chambers. He falls into deep depression and claims to be inconsistent with such a high position. To help the pontiff cope with psychological problems, a famous psychoanalyst who turns out to be an atheist is invited to the Vatican. Soon, during a trip to the city, dad manages to slip away from his guard in order to ponder his position alone. Meanwhile, the psychoanalyst is organizing a volleyball tournament among cardinals in the palace ...
