Industry and trade of Tara County

General data

In Tarsk district , agriculture was especially developed. In the field of dairy processing, the county was one of the leaders in the Tobolsk province. Pimokat production was also developed, the products which were particularly durable. The population was engaged in twisting of ropes from hemp and bast, cooking gypsies, matting. Made tubs, tubs, arches, shovels. Blacksmithing was also particularly developed: residents were engaged in the manufacture of axes, chisels, openers, harrows, nails, carting, cast-iron utensils.

So for 1862, the Tara district for cattle breeding and tilling was one of the richest districts of the Tobolsk province. Between the peasants there were many traders and even those with fairly considerable capital, frequent transitions to the merchant estate.

As for the factories and factories, in the Tarsk district there were only one plants of different directions and the complete absence of factories.

In the county, large “merchant” villages gained special fame in trade: Artynskoye, Yevashchinskoye, Muromtsevskoye, Nizovskoye, Rybinskoye, Takmykskoye.

Fairs and trades in the county never played a special role in the economy, but they had more local significance. The income of all the combined fairs and tenders never exceeded 1,000,000 rubles, and sometimes this figure was completely insignificant.

At the beginning of the 20th century, entrepreneurs who were subjects of foreign states were notable for their activity in Tara County. A special role was played by Danish subjects who sold agricultural products from Tara County to Western Europe. So Danish entrepreneur Einer Kipp was engaged in the production and sale of Wood harvesting machines, threshers, windrowers, harrows, straw choppers, Alfa Laval separators, equipment for oil plants, spare parts for Deering, Osborne, Wood machines, “Champion”, “Plano”, “McCormick” and others.

On June 21, 1909, the II one-day exhibition of local dairy cattle was held in the village of Evgashchinsky, Tarsk Uyezd, as the center of the butter industry and the significant development of cattle breeding on the Irtysh River. The Department of Agriculture allocated 500 rubles for the arrangement of the exhibition. The exhibition was attended by the settlements of Loginovskaya volost (the village of Evgashchinskoye, the villages of Meshkova, Krasny Yar, Mikhailovka, Novgorodtseva, Korshunova, Egatova, Neupokoeva, Terekhova, Shueva, the settlements of Petersburg, Chernigov), Takmyksky volost (the village of Takmyksky, the villages of Reshetnikova, Yamin, Bamin, , Botvina, Ilya-Karga).

In 1909, there were 2 taverns, 71 wine shops, 7 tea shops, 563 trading shops, 74 factories, 48 ​​fairs and tenders.

In 1912, a small-cattle exhibition was held in the county in the village of Muromtsevsky.

Factories and Plants

As of 1858, there were 30 plants in the Tara District.

In 1883, the plants had a capacity of 434,983 rubles 60 kopecks, in the city 143,977 rubles 56 kopecks.

By 1889, there were 121 districts in the district (3 distilleries, 33 tanneries, 15 oil mills, 3 candle, 3 soap mills, 4 bricks, 2 ropes, 1 pottery, 1 brewing, 46 flour mills). The total productivity was 221157 rubles. 426 workers were employed in the production.

After 2 years, by 1891 the number of plants increased to 192 plants with a total capacity of 113566 rubles:

  • 106 flour mills with a productivity of 13,456 rubles;
  • 44 oil mills with a productivity of 1224 rubles;
  • 30 tanneries with a productivity of 16,723 rubles;
  • 2 distilleries with a capacity of 77318 rubles.

The largest plants of the Tara district in 1893 with a turnover exceeding 1000 rubles:

  • Distillery of the titular adviser to the Tara merchant of the first guild Alexei Shcherbakov (city of Tara);
  • The distillery of the wife of the state adviser Davydovskaya Nadezhda Mikhailovna (near the village of Muromtsevo, Bergamak volost);
  • Tannery of the hereditary citizen of the city of Tara Aitykin Nasr-Etdina (Tara city);

By 1899, in the county, the turnover from the activities of factories reached 323,792 rubles, in the city of Tara, the turnover was 126750 rubles.

By the end of 1904, there were 27 dairy factories, 29 separators, in which 41 workers worked, in the county.

An even more significant growth of plants occurred by 1905, the number of which reached 685 different plants. Already there were 130 private and cooperative creameries (excluding the city), with a total amount of processed milk 1,549,158 pounds. The number of separators was 169 private and cooperative.

Fairs and trade

For 1869 there were only 4 fairs in the district (Takmykskaya settlement, Muromtsevo village, Pustynskoye village, Evgashchinskoye village) and 7 torzhoks (4 in Vikulovskaya settlement, 2 in Ust-Ishimsky village, Kraichikovo village). In all these tenders and fairs, trade was not very extensive, with the exception of Pokrovsky Torzh in the Vikulovskaya settlement, which brought goods worth 80,000 rubles. Trade on them was carried out mainly by Tarsk merchants who brought manufactories and by peasants from the Tarskiy district who brought rural products, consisting mainly of raw products.

As of 1891, there were 28 different fairs and tenders in the Tarsky district, however, at the core of their turnover, they were insignificant, with the exception of Pokrovsky Torzh in the Vikulovskaya settlement with a turnover of 80,000 rubles.

In 1896, there were 33 fairs and tenders.

After 4 years, there was a significant increase in fairs, so for 1900 there were already 101 fairs and trade shows in the city of Tara 4.

In 1912, there were 30 fairs and 4 torzhoks, the turnover of which reached 605400 rubles.
