Walpole poppy , or Walpole poppy ( lat. Papaver walpolei ) - a species of herbaceous plants of the genus Poppy ( Papaver ) family Poppy ( Papaveraceae ).

Botanical Description
Perennial herbaceous plant about 8 cm high, forming a cushion-like turf. The leaves are pale green, with a bluish bloom, dissected into three lobes, covered with red hairs. Petiole is wide, flat, with an expanded base. Milky juice is yellow.
Flowers with a diameter of 2-4 cm, white or yellow, with an orange spot at the base of the flower. The fruit is an obovate box [3] [4] .
It grows on gravel and carbonate rocks, found in the mouths of dry rivers [3] .
The view is described from Alaska [3] .
Range
In Russia, it is found only in the Chukotka Autonomous Region . It is found abroad in Alaska and Canada [3] .
Guard Status
Rare view. It is listed in the Red Books of Russia and Chukotka [4] . Dies due to strict confinement to carbonate rocks.
