Club

Bill Hamid was born on November 25, 1990 in the small town of Annandale, Virginia . His parents are from Sierra Leone .

Hamid is a graduate of Dc United Academy. September 2, 2009 he became the first pupil who made his way into the main team. He was seriously interested in the Scottish Celtic , but because of problems with a work permit, the transfer had to be rejected [2] .

May 5, 2010 made his debut in a game against Kansas City Wizards , thereby becoming the youngest goalkeeper ever to enter the field in the history of MLS , breaking Tim Howard’s record [3] .

In the 2011 season, Bill Hamid became the main goalkeeper of his team, having played 28 matches in the championship. July 15, 2011 received a red card in a game against Houston Dynamo . On November 9, the deletion again earned in the playoff match in the game with the New York Red Bulls [4] . In general, this season was successful for the young goalkeeper, immediately after graduation he left for the location of the English West Bromwich [5] [6] .

According to the results of the 2014 season, Hamid was recognized as the goalkeeper of the year in MLS [7] .

Hamid spent eight years at DSC United, leaving the club at the end of the 2017 season [8] .

On October 25, 2017, the Danish Super League club Midtjylland announced the signing of a contract with Hamid, calculated until the summer of 2022 and coming into force on January 1, 2018 [9] . His debut for " Wolves ”took place on April 12, 2018 in the quarter- final match of the Danish Cup against“ Hobro ” [10] .
