World of fairy tales of Turkmenbashi

The complex was built by the Turkish company "GAP Inshaat" by order of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan ^[7] . It was reopened on December 8, 2006 with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov and received the name "World of Turkmenbashi Tales" ^[6] . The $ 50 million project was funded by the State Foreign Exchange Reserve. The park was opened in October 2006 ^[8] . It is located in the city center on an area of ​​33 hectares and is divided into two parts: “open” and “closed”, taking into account the climatic features of the region. The park has more than a hundred attractions and slot machines for entertainment, thematic and gaming areas. The design of the complex is saturated with elements of national Turkmen folklore.

It consists of 5 main parts: “World of Turkmen Wonders”, “Mountain of Fairy Tales”, “Paradise River”, “World of Struggle” and “World of Adventures”. An amusement park can be circled on the Karakum Express. The train consists of a diesel locomotive and three cars for 72 passengers. The speed of the train is 17 km per hour.

“World of Turkmen Wonders”

In this thematic territory, preceded by a large-scale layout of the map of Turkmenistan, all the main natural-landscape and climatic zones of the country are reflected. In miniature images of representatives of the animal world and samples of local flora are made. In this part of the park many times smaller copies of the famous historical and cultural monuments of Turkmenistan are placed. An artificial river and gazebos are provided here. For adults and children there are cafeterias, photo studios, rental points, kiosks and shops. Attractions are created taking into account national traditions. The ferris wheel with a height of 25 m, designed for 108 people, resembles the Turkmen woman’s jewelry "gulyak" in shape. The Magic Carpet attraction is decorated with national carpet patterns. The elements of the Turkmen ornament were used in the design of the Tea Cups attraction, 9 bowls were placed on a circle with a diameter of 15 m, accommodates 36 people in one session, the attraction is complemented by a huge kettle in the center that releases steam. Also on this territory are the attractions "Khoja Nasreddin", "Merry Train", "Bumper Boats", "Roller Coaster with Water", "Labyrinth".

"Mountain of Fairy Tales"

Indoor park with an area of ​​more than 7 thousand square meters. m. To get inside the magical mountains, you must go through the luminous bridge in the darkness. A variety of amazing adventures await visitors in caves, tunnels and grottoes.

Gallery of World Villages

In this part of the park there is an opportunity to get to one or another part of the Earth, to make a kind of round-the-world trip, to take a picture with the sights of Egypt, France, England, Italy, the USA. There is an opportunity to become a spaceship pilot.

The World of Turkmen Tales

The permanent “inhabitants” of this unit are the mysterious Storyteller, Bovenjik, Akpamyk and her seven brothers, the Hudayberdy-Gorkak, the mighty devas, Karamergen and other numerous heroes of the Turkmen epic.

Paradise River

A huge aquarium has been built here, inhabited by the inhabitants of the Caspian Sea and the oceans, as well as moving animal models ^[9] .

World of Fight

Designed for those who want to measure strength with each other. There are attractions - “Gorki”, “Wall of Ascent”, “Rodeo”, “Trampolines”, “Inflatable Games”, “Karting” (15 race cars with rubber bumpers).

Adventure World

It consists of the “Unusual Aircraft”, “Flying Saucer”, “Heaven Loop”, “Space Weapons” attractions created on the basis of the most modern technology. Nearby are a platform and a man-made lake, the mirror area of ​​which is 10 thousand square meters. m. On it you can swim in catamarans.
