Isroel Shmulsson (also Izya Lazarevich and Israel Lazarevich ; , - , ) - Soviet architect and restorer. Member of the Union of Architects of the Ukrainian SSR since 1950. Author of a number of monuments and memorial plaques [1] in Kiev .

Biography
Born in Uman in 1913. In 1922-1929 he studied at the labor school in Uman, in 1929-1930 he worked at a sugar factory in the Uman district. In 1930-1933 he studied at the Uman Mechanical Technical School, after which he moved to Kiev, where in 1933-1935 he worked at the Lepse plant.
In 1935 he entered the architectural department of the Kiev Art Institute , which he graduated in 1941 with a degree in architecture. In 1939–1941, he combined his studies with the work of an assistant architect in the architectural and design workshop of the KHI .
In July 1941, he was drafted into the army, participated in combat operations of the Great Patriotic War as part of an engineering brigade, was awarded the Order of the Red Star , medals "For Courage" , "For the Capture of Vienna" , "For the Capture of Berlin" , "For the Liberation of Prague " , " For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. " Demobilized in November 1945 with the rank of captain of the engineering service.
Since 1946 - the author-architect, architectural and design workshops "Stroymonument", later the Republican scientific and restoration production workshops Gosstroy SM USSR (Andreevsky spusk, 23).

- Obelisk at the place of crossing Russian troops across the river. Vorskla from granite. (1959) (in collaboration with A. Pasechny) [10]
- Bronze bust on a granite pedestal Vitaly Primakov (1970; with the sculptor F. A. Kotsyubinsky ) [11] .
- Nicholas Pyramid Church. After the destruction during the Great Patriotic War, restoration was carried out (1981, together with architect V.I. Maiko) [12] .
