3rd Macedonian strike brigade ( Serbhoron. Treka makedonska udarna brigada / Macedonian Treta Macedonian shock brigade ) - a military formation of the People's Liberation Army of Yugoslavia, which participated in the People's Liberation War on the territory of Wardar .

The combat path of the 3rd Macedonian shock brigade

It was founded on February 26, 1944 in the village of Zheglian . The structure included three battalions named after Stefan Naumov, Orce Nikolov and Khristian Todorovsky. She received a baptism of fire on February 29 in battles with chetniks near the village of Seyats , continuing the battle with them in Novy Selo on March 3 . Participated in the battles for the villages of Bilyach , Buschran , Svinishte and Ristovac .

In the spring, along with other parts of the NOAU, it participated in the battles of Kratovo, Pobien-Kamen, Tsrnook, Stanikin-Krst, Znopol, Liss, Kosmatts, Golak, Kosturino, Kushkulia, on Mount Krush and in other settlements. Parts of the 3rd and 2nd Macedonian shock brigades together formed the 4th Macedonian shock brigade on June 24, 1944 . The anthem of the 3rd brigade was Panche Peshev ’s song “What a laugh”.

The brigade acted on the Kumanovo - Kriva Palank line , joining the Bulgarian forces in the battles of Stracin , Mlado-Nagorichan , Klechevets . Parts of the brigade were guarded by Macedonian delegates at the First Congress of the Anti-Fascist Assembly for the Liberation of Macedonia , which took place on August 2, 1944 . On the night of August 9–10, the brigade managed to defeat a Bulgarian police detachment of 120 people, and then, with the support of the Kumanov detachment, attacked Ristovac.

September 7, 1944 3rd brigade together with the 8th and 12th brigades in the 42nd Macedonian division , which participated in the liberation of Veles , Skopje and Tetovo . Parts of the division, including the 3rd brigade, participated in the battles on the Sremsky front in January 1945 , fighting near Ilintsy , Tovarnik , Strizhivoyno , Vrpol , Slavonskaya Pozhega .
