History
The street got its name on June 20, 1980 in memory of the Hero of the Soviet Union Mikhail Stepanovich Shumilov ( 1895 - 1975 ), during the Great Patriotic War he commanded the corps, 64th army , 7th guards army , after the war - Belomorsky and Voronezh military districts [1] [2] . Until August 26, 1960, it was called State Farm Street in the village of Novo-Kuzminki. [3]
Location
Shumilova Street runs from Zelenodolskaya Street to the northeast, turns southeast and passes to Yeseninsky Boulevard . House numbering starts from Zelenodolskaya street.

Metro
- The Kuzminki metro station of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya line is southwest of the street, on Slavy Square, at the intersection of Volgogradsky Prospekt with Zhigulevskaya and Zelenodolskaya Streets and Marshal Chuykov Street .
