Located in the north-east of the district, between the cities of Izhevsk , Votkinsk , Tchaikovsky [2] .
The administrative center is the village of Kukui . The population is 885 people (2012) [3] .

History
The settlement was formed by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic of September 3, 1991 by separation from the Kvarsinsky rural settlement [2] .
Infrastructure
On the territory of the settlement are the livestock breeding enterprise Mir LLC, the Istok LLC bakery, 2 sawmills, a sewing workshop, a furniture production workshop, automatic telephone exchanges, 5 shops, 11 peasant farms. 148 households (50%) were gasified. There is a feldsher-midwife center, school, kindergarten, library, and a rural cultural center with 300 seats. Since 2007, a wooden St. Nicholas Church has been under construction in the district center [4] .
