Elena Garanina performed with Igor Zavozin . At the 1978 national championships, the couple took second place. She graduated in 1983. USSR master of sports of international class . In 1980 she graduated from the SCOLIFK , and in 1985, GITIS . She was married to her partner, their son, figure skater Maxim Zavozin , who played for the United States, later for Hungary. Subsequently, they divorced, and in 2019 he died. He works as a trainer.
