Biography
Count Ippolit Ippolitovich came from the second line of the Kapnistov family, the founder of which was Pyotr Vasilyevich (d. 1826), the older brother of the writer Vasily Kapnist , married to Englishwoman Elizaveta Timofeevna Gausman . Father, Ippolit Ilyich (grandson of Pyotr Vasilyevich), served in the Life Guards of the Imperial Highness Cesarevna’s regiment in Kirasirsky, retired with the rank of lieutenant in 1859. Mother, Elizaveta Vasilievna , nee Magdenko , daughter of staff captain Vasily Ivanovich Magdenko. The family grew three more sons (Vasily, Ilya and Peter) and two daughters (Elizabeth and Olga) [2] . Landowner (3500 acres ).
He graduated from the New Alexandria Institute of Agriculture and Forestry . He was elected the vowel of the Khorolsky district and Poltava provincial assemblies , an honorary magistrate of the Khorolsky district. He had a court rank of chamberlain . He was a member of the Union on October 17 .
He was elected a member of the State Duma of the III and IV convocations from the Poltava province. He was a member of the Octobrist faction, and after its split - in the group of Zemstvo-Octobrists. In 1909-1912 and 1912-1916, he was a fellow of the chairman of the Commission on Migration, in 1912-1916 he was a fellow of the chairman, and in 1916-1917 he was the chairman of the agricultural commission. On the night of February 28 (March 13), 1917, he was appointed commissioner of the Provisional Committee of the State Duma at the Ministry of Agriculture [1] .
After the October Revolution in exile in France. He was a member of the Icon Society in Paris . Participated in the meetings of the People’s Monarchist Union, the Russian Central Association, the circle "To the knowledge of Russia."
Died April 25, 1936 in the suburbs of Paris Agnere.

He was married to Mary (Marus) Trubotti. Marriage is childless [3] .
