Geographic data
The settlement area is 213 km². Located in the western part of the district.
History
Boksitogorsk urban settlement was established on January 1, 2006 in accordance with the regional law No. 78-oz dated October 26, 2004 “On the establishment of borders and the appropriate status of the municipality of Boksitogorsk municipal district and municipal entities in its composition”, it included the city of Boksitogorsk and part of the settlements of the former Bor volost [2] .
