In Portuguese, “ desafinado ” means “past the notes”, “false”. The song was created as a parody, as a mockery of some of the singers from the bars of Rio de Janeiro , the performance of which was sometimes rather uncertain, the musicians did not fall into tonality or even into rhythm, but pretended that it was necessary - “this is such a style " .
Over time, the song became one of the most popular melodies and even a visiting card of the Bosanov style, and became one of the generally accepted jazz standards .
