Gostomyslov, Alexander Petrovich

Alexander Petrovich Gostomyslov ( January 7, 1940 , Leningrad - December 19, 2012 , St. Petersburg [1] ) - Soviet and Russian prose writer, publicist. Member of the Union of Writers of Russia (1994). The delegate of the XIII and XIV congresses of writers of Russia. Head of the section of documentary prose and journalism of the St. Petersburg branch of the Union of Writers of Russia.

Biography

Alexander Petrovich Gostomyslov was born on January 7, 1940 in the city of Leningrad.

In 1957 he entered the technical school with a degree in universal turner. At the end of college, he went to the army. He served in the GSVG (1960-1963).

Later, Gostomyslov studied at the evening department of the journalism faculty of Leningrad State University . He worked as the editor of the factory radio, as well as the editor-in-chief of a large-circulation newspaper.

He wrote his first story in 1960 [2] .

From 1971 to 1974, together with Leningrad fishermen, he went fishing in the Atlantic as first assistant to the captain of the Great Freezing Fishing Trawler [3] .

From 1975 to 1995, he was the head of the science and journalism department in the Bonfire magazine . Gostomyslov developed the Living Water program. Especially for her, he conducted a competitive selection of high school students, the best ecologists of the country, and also organized expeditions to Ladoga , Amur , Volga , Tyumen . In addition, he organized the Sherlock Holmes Club in the magazine. He was one of the leaders held by the magazine "Bonfire", six All-Union meetings of journalists and writers writing for children and adolescents [2] .
