Came from the nobles [1] . The son of a hundred chieftain.
He studied at a university gymnasium , in 1782 he became a student at Moscow University ; in 1784 he was identified as a teacher of Latin and Greek languages at a university gymnasium. In 1781, a member of the University Pet Assembly. In 1782 he collaborated in the magazine "Evening Dawn." Mason , in 1784 - the almsman of the Moscow Sphinx Masonic lodge.
Later served as a post office official; since 1816 - college adviser [1] . Since 1820 - State Councilor . He retired in 1825 (see letter to K. Ya. Bulgakov of October 15, 1825).
Compiled a textbook “The Greek alphabet, or Basic knowledge of the Greek language, with grammatical rules, conversations, Aesopian fables” (1794, parts 1-3); completed the translation of The Adventures of Telemac by F. Fenelon .
