History
In the Lo area, there are remains of a Roman border fort. A document in 838 mentioned a church in Grussen. In the Middle Ages, these lands were part of the Duchy of Cleves , during the Napoleonic Wars they were occupied by the French, and from 1816 they became part of the Netherlands. In 1986-1994, the community entered the government's community development program, which led to improved infrastructure and population growth.
