Tolshmensky district - an area that existed in 1929-1931 as part of the Northern Territory of the USSR . The center is the village of Ustye Tolshamskoe .

History
After the abolition of the Vologda district , on July 15, 1929, the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee introduced zoning of the Northern Territory. Tolshmensky district was formed in the Vologda district . It consisted of the former Biryakovskaya, Tiksnenskaya, Kozhukhovskaya, Trofimovskaya and Tolshemskaya volosts.
The district was divided into 13 village councils, uniting 392 settlements [1] .
By the resolution of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of July 30, 1931, the Tolshmensky district was abolished, and its territory was divided between the Totemsky and Shuisky districts [2] .
