Korogo [1] [2] ( French Korhogo ) is a city in the north of Côte d'Ivoire . The administrative center of the Shroud , as well as the department of the same name .

Geographical position
The city is located in the central part of the region, west of the Belaya Bandama River , at a distance of approximately 295 kilometers north of the country's capital Yamusukro . The absolute height is 426 meters above sea level [3] .

Economics
The basis of the city’s economy is agriculture . In the vicinity of Korhogo, yams , peanuts , corn , rice , as well as cotton , which is the main product of urban exports, are grown . In Korhogo and surrounding settlements, folk crafts flourish. Local artisans make wooden masks , metal products, weave baskets.
Transport
5 kilometers south-east of the city is the airport of the same name [3] .
