Anderson Vital da Silva, better known as Dede ( Spanish: Anderson Vital da Silva ; born July 1, 1988 in Volta Redonda , Brazil ) is a Brazilian footballer , center back for the Cruzeiro club and the Brazilian national team .

Club career
Dede is a graduate of the Volta-Redonda club. In 2009, Dede was leased with the right of subsequent redemption at Vasco da Gama . In early 2010, the defender did not appear on the field, but in the Brazil Cup match against Vitoria , because of the large number of injured defenders, the coach gave Dede a chance. He showed a confident game and gradually won the place of the main defender in the team.
In October 2010, Dede extended the agreement with the club until the end of 2014. On December 5, 2010, in the match against Ceara , the defender scored his first goal for the club [2] . In the same year, according to the results of the season, he was awarded the title of the best central defender of the Brazilian championship . In 2011, he formed a duet with Anderson Martins, thanks to the efforts of this bunch, Vasco won the Cup, and both players were selected as the Best central defenders of the Carioca League . On November 19, Dede held his 100th match for Vasco against Universitario , the game ended in a Brazilian 5-2 victory, and Dede scored 2 goals and gave 1 assists.
By 2012, Dede became one of the most iconic players among Vasco fans. On April 17, Cruzeiro announced the purchase of rights to Dede for 14 million reais (about 7 million US dollars ), which became one of the most expensive transactions in the history of transfers between Brazilian clubs. The Brazilian quarterback signed a four-year contract. The main reason for the sale of Dede was the poor financial condition of Vasco [5] .
In February 2016, Dede had a difficult knee operation, which is why he missed the whole season. According to the forecasts of doctors, the defender may return to the field in February 2017 [6] .
International Career
On July 25, 2011, Dede was called up by the Brazilian national team coach Mano Menezes to a friendly match against the German national team , but did not enter the field. September 14, took part in the "South American Superclassico" against the Argentine national team [7] [8] .
