Pasaman ( indon. Pasaman ) is a district within the province of West Sumatra . The administrative center is the city of Lubuk-Sikaping .

Geography
The area of the district is 7,835 km². In the south it borders with the Agam district, in the south-west with the West Pasaan district , in the south-east with the Lima-Puluh-Kota district, in the north and north-west with the territory of North Sumatra province , in the northeast with the territory Riau Province .
Population
According to the 2010 census , 253,299 people lived in the district [1] .

The territory of Pasaman district is administratively subdivided into 12 districts ( kecamatan ), which in turn are divided into 211 rural settlements ( kelurahan ).
