Biography

Born on February 3 [3] of 1914 in the village of Kamyst of Tsaryovskiy District of the Astrakhan Province of the Russian Empire (now the village of Kamysty of the Zhanibek District of the West Kazakhstan Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan ) in a peasant family. Kazakh After graduating from school, he entered the Alma-Ata Veterinary Institute , after which in 1936 he worked in the South Kazakhstan region (since 1938 - Kzyl-Ordinsk region ) as head of the educational part of the school of animal husbandry, as a teacher in the regional technical committee for livestock.

The Aralsk district military registration and enlistment office of the Kyzyl-Orda region of the Kazakh SSR in 1939 was drafted into the ranks of the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . In 1940 he graduated from the courses of junior lieutenants. In the current army, Junior Lieutenant E. Netkaliyev from October 1941 as liaison officer of the 5th Cavalry Regiment of the 9th Cavalry Division of the 2nd Cavalry Corps . In the battles with the Nazi invaders from November 1941 on the Western Front . Member of the Battle of Moscow . Baptism of fire took in battles near the village of Ugodsky Plant during the Tula defensive operation , when, on November 11, 1941, the 2nd Cavalry Corps was thrown into battle in the defense zone of the 49th Army . After the German offensive near Serpukhov was stopped, the corps was redeployed near Kashira in the defense zone of the 50th army [4] . Until the summer of 1942, he fought on the Rzhev-Vyazma ledge near Dorogobuzh . On August 17, 1942, during a combat mission, he was seriously wounded, but delivered the package to its destination, after which he was evacuated to the hospital.

After recovery, he was promoted to lieutenant, and on October 3, 1942, he arrived in the 12th Guards Cavalry Regiment of the 3rd Guards Cavalry Division of the 2nd Guards Cavalry Corps of the Western Front, where he was appointed deputy commander of the 3rd saber squadron. On November 28, 1942, during battles in the Sychevsky district of the Smolensk region , replacing the squadron commander wounded in battle, he and his fighters broke through the German defenses in the Podosinovka sector [5] - Aristovo and provided access to the rear of the enemy of his regiment. Cutting the railway line Rzhev - Sychevka , the 3rd squadron of the 12th Guards Cavalry Regiment under his command fought for nearly three days in the village of Nikishkino [6] , repelling the attacks of many times superior enemy forces. The fighters destroyed about 80 German soldiers and officers and seriously damaged the enemy armored train.

November 30, 1942 was seriously wounded. Local residents attributed it to the partisans, where he was given first aid. Then he was evacuated to the “mainland” by the first plane.

In the 12th Guards Cavalry Regiment was listed among the dead [7] , but in the winter of 1943 he returned to his unit, which fought on the Central Front . During the Sevsk operation I participated in three raids over the front line.

In the summer of 1943 he was given the rank of guard senior lieutenant. He was transferred to the headquarters of the 3rd Guards Cavalry Division and was appointed commander of a platoon intelligence division. In the course of the Oryol and Bryansk operations, he repeatedly performed responsible tasks of the command both on the front line and behind enemy lines. When, during one of the counterattacks, the enemy, trying to surround and destroy the corps units, created a reconnaissance platoon on their flank, displaying courage and resilience, gave time and opportunity for hull connections to regroup.

Since November 1943, he took part in the Gomel-Rechitsa and Kalinkovichi-Mozyr operations. January 14, 1944 participated in the liberation of the city of Mozyr .

Before the start of the Belarusian strategic operation, he took command of the 2nd saber squadron of the 12th Guards Cavalry Regiment of the 3rd Guards Cavalry Division of the 2nd Guards Cavalry Corps of the 1st Belorussian Front .

In the course of the Lublin-Brest operation, the squadron of the senior lieutenant E. Netkaliev was the first to cross the Western Bug , captured the bridgehead on the right bank of the river, and repelled numerous enemy counterattacks and ensured the crossing of his division. In the period from July 26 to July 30, 1944, the squadron overcame the stubborn resistance of the Germans and was the first to reach the outskirts of Sedlec. According to the results of the battles in Belarus and Eastern Poland he was promoted to captain.

On January 31, the 12th Guards Cavalry Regiment took up defenses south of the city of Ratzebur [8] . Within two days, the 2nd saber squadron of guard Captain Netkaliev repulsed 10 enemy counterattacks from the 15th SS Ostland Infantry Division and the 23rd Nederland SS Motorized Division . February 2, 1945 the Germans managed to surround the position of the squadron. E. Netkaliyev was seriously wounded, but did not leave the battlefield. Bleeding profusely, he took up a position behind a heavy machine gun and continued to repel the attacks of the enemy until he was wounded again. The second injury was fatal.

When the reinforcement arrived, no more than a dozen fighters remained in the squadron, but the task was accomplished. In just three days of fighting, the 2nd Saber Squadron destroyed up to 400 enemy soldiers and officers, 3 heavy guns and 6 easel machine guns with calculations. 80 German soldiers and 5 officers were captured.

For the exemplary performance of combat missions of command on the front of the struggle against the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on March 24, 1945, the guard was given posthumous title of Hero of the Soviet Union.

He was buried in the town of Okonek Zlotuvsky county of Greater Poland Voivodeship of the Republic of Poland
