Geography

The San Juan River originates on the ridge of the Cucilla de San Salvador Uplands of the Cucilla Grande Inferior in the Colonia department near the city of Florencio Sanchez . It flows from the north-east to the south-west, flows into La Plata , north-west of the Colony del Sacramento . The river is 77 km long, and its basin covers an area of ​​about 1,500 km² [1] .
