According to the Financial Times , IE Business School in 2012 topped the European ranking of 80 business schools [1] . IE is accredited by EQUIS (issued by EFMD), AMBA and AACSB [2] . The school is also the first European educational institution to join the Beta Gamma Sigma club [3] .

About 1,900 students study annually at IE Business School, receiving master's degrees , PhD and DBA . IE has over 40,000 graduates in 125 countries. [four]

In 2007, IE acquired an 80% stake in the University of Segovia , which is now known as IE University. [five]

IE was founded by entrepreneurs and continues to support entrepreneurial traditions. As a result, more than 10% of students start new projects after graduation. [6]

Ownership Structure of IE University

IE University is owned and operated by the commercial organization Instituto de Empresa SL, registered under the number B82334319 in Madrid, which in turn is owned by Azalvaro SL. The main shareholder and founder of IE is the Grand of Spain, 10th Marquise Romanes Diego Alcázar Silvela . [7]

Full-time MBA

The MBA program lasts 13 months from November to December or from March to April. Training is available in English and Spanish. In the 2011 class, 89% of foreign students are from 72 countries. Average age 29 years, work experience 5 years. The largest employing companies: McKinsey & Company (14%), Johnson & Johnson (9%), Grupo Telefonica (9%), Accenture (9%) [8] .

Masters in Finance and Advanced Finance

IE Business School offers various finance programs for students with and without work experience. IE Master in Finance is one of the most prestigious financial programs for students with no work experience, ranking second in the 2012 Financial Times world ranking. The average GMAT score for the program is 690 points [9] .

Entrepreneurship

More than 1,500 IE students study Entrepreneurship annually as a required core subject. The school also offers many optional subjects in this area, such as Entrepreneurship in Emerging Markets, Family Business, Corporate Entrepreneurship, Finance for Entrepreneurs and Business Incubators. The latter is designed for students who want to create their own business. The course covers the process from identifying a market niche to creating a pilot project and presenting the project to investors [10] .

Partnerships with other educational institutions

IE Business School supports 53 exchange programs for MBA students. The Master of Law program is taught in collaboration with Northwestern University School of Law. A double degree in business management and international relations can be obtained in a joint program with Fletcher School ( Tufts University ). The school also has an agreement with the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business regarding the management of the Global Senior Management program.

Together with Babson College, IE works in the field of entrepreneurial programs for top managers. The school collaborates with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania on the Global Consultancy Program.

IE Business School also offers a double degree in logistics in collaboration with the MIT Sloan School of Management [11] . In March 2010, IE and Brown University launched a joint IE Brown Executive MBA program [12] .
