He graduated from MGIMO- USSR Foreign Ministry (1971) and the Diplomatic Academy of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1979).

- In 1990-1993 - Advisor and Envoy of the Embassy of the USSR, Russia in Ethiopia .
- April 29, 1993 - May 16, 1997 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Madagascar [1] [2] .
- December 28, 1993 - May 16, 1997 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Comoros concurrently [3] [2] .
- In 1997-1999 - Head of the Working Group of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on the Caspian Sea , Ambassador on Special Assignments.
