What are you waiting for?

Their First Album What Are You Waiting For? was produced by Aaron Sprinkle , who also produced the album Thousand Foot Krutch Phenomenon . The single "Definitely Maybe", "Something To Believe In", and "Crazy Mary" were released from this album. A clip for “Definitely Maybe" was also shot. During the FM Static tour from 2003 to 2005, John Banner left the band after playing several shows. Justin asked his brother Jeremy to take John's place.

Critically Ashamed

On August 1, 2006, FM Static released their second album, Critically Ashamed . The song "Waste of Time" was released as a single. Initially, a cover for Vanilla Ice's “Ice Ice Baby” was to be included on this album, but it was later removed from the album. FM Static did not go on tour in support of the second album, as the Smith brothers left the band. Thus, Trevor and Steve had to re-record the album together, inviting session musicians for recording. Unlike “Waste of Time”, the songs “Tonight” and “Moment of Truth” were not released as a single, but became hits on the Internet and were also broadcast on some radio stations. As of December 2012, Tonight has over fourteen million YouTube views, and Moment of Truth has just over 10 million.

Dear Diary

On April 7, 2009, the band released their third studio album, Dear Diary . This album is a fictional story about a boy telling his diary about the difficulties of his life, love and faith. The entries themselves were posted on the blog before the release of the album. The CD booklet is accompanied by illustrations by Worth Dying For guitarist Nathan Perrish. This album includes the singles “Boy Moves to a New Town With An Optimistic Outlook”, “The Unavoidable Battle of Feeling On the Outside” and “Take Me As I Am”. Trevor announced that FM Static has plans for a tour in 2009 in support of the new album. Due to the fact that Justin and Jeremy left the group, Nick Baumhardt from TFK and Tom Bopre agreed to participate in the tour.

My Brain Says Stop, but My Heart Says GO!

On February 5, 2010, Trevor tweeted that he was in the process of completing new songs for FM Static, which would appear on the new album. He initially stated that the title of the album would be “4,” but he later mentioned on his Facebook page that the name had been changed to “My Brain Says STOP, but My Heart Says GO!”.

The album “My Brain Says STOP, but My Heart Says GO!” Was released on April 5, 2011. Three singles were released from the album: “My Brain Says Stop, but My Heart Says Go!”, “Last Train Home” and “FMSTATIC”. The song "FMSTATIC" can be heard in the twelfth episode of the series Infernal Cats .
