Biography
Born in Mogilev in the family of a zemstvo doctor Movsha Shevelevich Kalmanovsky (1868—?). In 1919 he graduated from the medical faculty of Saratov University , where after serving in the Red Army (since 1922) he studied in clinical residency. Since 1923, head of the surgical department in Saratov , Magnitogorsk . Since 1934 he lived and worked in Chelyabinsk . He was the first doctor of sciences from practical doctors in Chelyabinsk . In 1939, scientific consultant of the regional hospital. In 1941-44, a leading surgeon medical. evacuation point-98, head of the department of hospital-423 and at the same time head of the department of a medical institute, in 1945 professor. Since 1955, a leading surgeon of the hospital for reconstructive surgery, since 1957 - a tuberculosis dispensary.
