Physico-geographical characteristics

Far Flipper originates within the Ergeninsky Upland, in Zhuravlev’s beam [6] . From the source, the main direction of the current - from the south-west to the north-east, below the mouth of the Bugaev beam - from the west to the east, below the mouth of the Yalmat beam, the river turns southeast. It flows into Lake Barmantsak [7] .

Like other rivers in the inland region of the West Caspian basin , the main role in the formation of the Dal'naya Flipper runoff belongs to precipitation falling in the cold part of the year. Due to significant evaporation in the spring and summer, the role of rain nutrition is small. As a rule, the entire runoff passes in the spring within 30 to 50 days, sometimes this period is reduced to 10 days. The average annual flow rate is 0.22 m³ / s. The annual flow rate is 6.83 million m³ [1] .

According to the degree of mineralization, the river water is estimated as fresh. Mineralization of water - 0.66 g / l, turbidity - 28 mg / l. Water is not taken from the river. The river waters are suitable for domestic drinking (with purification), domestic and recreational use [8] .
