Masindi is a county in the western region of Uganda . As of 2010, 602 100 people live in the okrug [1] . The area of the territory is 9443 km². In the north it borders with the Nvoia district, in the east it borders with the Kiryandongo district, in the southeast with the Nakasongola and Nakaseke districts, with the Hoima district in the southwest and Bulisa district in the northwest. The main economic activity is the cultivation of food crops such as corn, potatoes and bananas. 73% of the population is engaged in agriculture. Fishery is developed on Lake Albert . Representatives of more than 55 tribes live in the district. The main waterway is the White Nile .
