Appearance and structure
The color of the upper side of the body is yellowish gray, the lower - lighter. The total length is up to 31 cm, of which about 18 cm fall on the bare grasping tail. There is no brood bag .
Distribution and lifestyle
A dwarf mouse-shaped possum is found in South America between the Amazon and Orinoco . Leads a nocturnal arboreal lifestyle.
Nutrition
The dwarf mouse-shaped possum is omnivorous, but prefers fruits and insects.
Reproduction
There are up to 15 cubs in a litter. First they hang on the nipples, then they “ride” on the female’s back.
