Biography

Born in the family of a Russian worker. Member of the revolution and civil war Nikolai Markin was her cousin uncle. Father, a self-taught electrician, after the revolution joined the Bolshevik party. He spent the last years of his life doing party work.

In 1937, Galina Ivanovna graduated from a ten-year school.

Before the war, she worked as technical secretary of the agricultural department of the People's Commissariat of Finance and studied at the evening department of the Bauman Moscow Higher Technical School.

Since January 1939, the Komsomol voucher at work in state security agencies. She worked in the Transport Department of the NKVD , dealt with technical issues, and was involved in the implementation of certain operational tasks.

Since December 1941, at the disposal of the special forces of the 4th Main Directorate of the NKVD. The group trained personnel to work underground behind enemy lines.

In 1946, she graduated from two-year foreign language courses at the Higher School of the Ministry of State Security of the USSR and was enrolled in foreign intelligence.

Shortly after the war, she married M.V. Fedorov , who also served in intelligence and was preparing for illegal work abroad.

The result of a quarter of a century in the business trips of a married couple of illegal intelligence agents [1] : 400 documents obtained, including materials with the highest security stamp on plans for a nuclear attack on the USSR, 300 communications sessions, 200 meetings with agents. One of which was a senior NATO official.

They performed separate tasks in Spain, Portugal, Great Britain and Italy.

She was awarded the orders of the Patriotic War and the Red Star, many medals, as well as the badges "Honorary State Security Officer" and "For Service in Intelligence."
