Kolkata International Film Festival (KFF) , Beng. কলকাতা ফিল্ম ফেস্টিভাল ) is an annual non-competitive film festival held from November 10 to 17 in Calcutta ( India ) since 1995. The festival is accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations and is the second oldest film festival in India [1] , after the Indian International Film Festival .

History
The film festival was first held in 1995 at the Nandan Cinema Center, created in 1985 by the West Bengal government and inaugurated by Satyajit Ray , who later became the first chairman of the festival.
Calcutta has always played an important role in the film industry of India and Asia, and quickly gained popularity among film enthusiasts. During the festival, he was visited by many famous film directors, such as Miguel Littin , Fernando Solanas , Ali Özzentürk , Amos Gitai , Krzysztof Zanussi , Catherine Breya , Chun Soo Il , Gus Van Sent , Jafar Panahi , Tameneh Milani and others [1] .
